Merocel Tampons
Merocel offers a diverse range of medical tampons, splints, and catheters used in therapeutic and surgical procedures in the practice of ENT physicians. Composed of hydroxylated polyvinyl acetate, an organic substance resulting from the reaction between polyvinyl alcohol and formaldehyde, these tampons provide strength. They do not contain pure cellulose or lint, and cotton is entirely absent. The high absorbency of the tampons is due to their micro-porous structure, where each pore communicates with the surrounding through numerous pathways in different directions, allowing for rapid absorption of blood and fluids.
